The
Intermediary Network is expanding and seeking new members!
The
Intermediary Network (INet) is a national association of leading
education, workforce, and youth development organizations working
in local communities to ensure youth success. Network members
connect schools, communities, government agencies, workplace partners,
and youth organizations to improve outcomes for youth and help
build a future workforce.
Intermediaries
that should consider membership in the network include those that:
- Are
local or regional Intermediaries serving the education, workforce
preparation, youth development, social service and economic development
communities;
- Are
staffed and have resources identified to support intermediary activities
and functions;
- Are
a functioning Intermediary, performing brokering activities through
an intermediary structure;
- Strive
to work systematically, performing two and seeking to address all
four strategic intermediary functions (see below);
- Serve
more than one program in more than one school or organization;
and
- Value
full participation in a national network of peer organizations.
The Intermediary
Network has identified specific functions that must be conducted
by one or more institutions in a local community if convening and
connecting activities are to be effective and sustainable.

Strategic Intermediary Functions
