The Intermediary Network Institute
at
The Wyndham Hotel
in
New Orleans, LA
April
9-10, 2003
Here's what some of the iNet members are saying about the
upcoming Institute:
"The MetroVision School-to-Career Partnership is excited about hosting
the iNet's 2003 Spring Institute in New Orleans! But further, we are excited
about having three Louisiana intermediary organizations attend, and our
state's Workforce Commission leadership at the table with our teams. We
will be doing collaborative strategic planning around our efforts to secure
state funding for intermediary operations in addition to focusing on our
respective organizations' individual initiatives. Specifically, the MV/STC
Partnership will be doing further planning for implementation of our newly
created Talent Development High School regional hub in collaboration with
the Center for Research on the Education of Students Placed at Risk (CRESPAR)
at Johns Hopkins University."

"We will be bringing a team of 8 to the Spring Institute. This will
be our third Institute and each one has served to provide our Board and
staff with tools and contacts we need to develop and execute meaningful
strategies and action steps."
Stacey Denaux
The Education Foundation (Charleston, SC)
"We're bringing a team to the New Orleans Intermediary Institute
as it was a very beneficial process for us when we participated in Cincinnati
last spring. The direction set and the goals established at that time
have focused our work this year. We are rapidly expanding and need to
make sure we stay aligned in our processes and our growth plan to ensure
a quality experience for all partners. We are looking to bring a team
of 5-8 participants consisting of TWLC staff and Advisory Council members
from both education and employer partnerships. Our Advisory Council chair,
a local Chamber President, is eager to attend his first iNet event!"
Mary Lou Erlacher
The Workplace Learning Connection (Cedar Rapids, IA)
"We're looking forward to attending the New Orleans iNet Institute
in April. We are planning to bring 10 people - a cross-functional representation
of our management team. We see this as a great opportunity for us to meet
as a team, to plan for the launch of a new summer jobs campaign, and most
importantly, to learn from our colleagues across the country who do the
same kind of work we do."
